Group and Education Sales Manager

The American Shakespeare Center seeks a highly organized individual to fill the position of Group and Education Sales ManagerReporting to the Director of Marketing and Sales and responsible for approximately $400k in annual revenue, this position is the first and primary contact for groups visiting the Blackfriars Playhouse. The Group and Education Sales Manager also handles House Management at the Playhouse for all school matinees. The ideal candidate will be outgoing and detail-oriented with a strong commitment to exceptional customer service. Experience with the PatronManager Customer Relationship Management System a plus. Salary range: $27k - $30k.

Group Sales
● Group Sales is 70% of job.
● Manage all inbound and outbound group sales inquiries for educational, tourist and local groups.
● With the Director of Marketing, set and manage sales goals for group sales, tracking and proactively working to fulfill these goals.
● Create and maintain Group Sales and Education databases in partnership with Education department.
● Create and maintain budgets and files for Group Sales.
● Create and manage invoices and payment reminders for group sales reservations in partnership with Finance Assistant.
● Reserve and oversee tickets in ticketing system for groups.
● Actively grow a list of prospects through periodic research.
● Maintain contact information for all current and prospective teachers and group leaders.
● Create and maintain weekly and monthly financial reports with Finance Assistant.
● Assist Development Director and Development Assistant in compiling data and writing copy for grant applications.
● Coordinate added tours, workshops, and programming for groups with the Education Department.
● Manage Student Matinee sales and seating. 
● House Manage and greet arriving groups at the Student Matinee performances.
● Occasionally arrange receptions for groups.

● Create and maintain registration forms with the Education department.
● Book Education Department tickets for Teacher Seminars, Little Academes, Leadership Training, ASC Theater Camp, etc.
● Respond to Education inquiries from the general public and push to appropriate Education team member.
● Assist in event organization/execution. 
● Work with Education team to maintain the Education Calendar of Events.
● Schedule special Playhouse Tours for groups.
● Assist with bi-annual Blackfriars Conference, including all conference-related ticket reservations and revenue tracking.
● Track Education event registration and payments.
● Send invoices as needed for Education department.
