American Shakespeare Center Theatre Camp

Camper applications for ASCTC 2018 will open in November.

Session 1: June 17 - July 8, 2018
As You Like It, Hamlet (first quarto), Volpone (by Ben Jonson)
Session 2: July 15 - August 5, 2018
Twelfth Night, Pericles, Dr. Faustus (by Christopher marlowe)

ASCTC is more than just a summer camp: it's an immersive, residential, theatrical experience. For three weeks, students live on a college campus, take classes with renowned scholars, train with ASC actors, rehearse with experienced directors, and collaborate with each other to mount a one hour performance of an early modern play. At ASCTC campers discover more about Shakespeare (and themselves) than they could ever learn in the classroom alone.

CAMP MISSION

Using the exploration and performance of Shakespeare's technology and text, participants of the ASC Theatre Camp hone the critical and creative skills required to effectively navigate the daily challenges of adult life. We're not just training the next generation of Shakespearean actors -- we're training the next generation of fully engaged human beings.
