Join us in celebrating Shakespeare’s 460th birthday with our annual birthday bash on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 10am to 1:30pm at the Blackfriars Playhouse (Drama Club will perform on the stage and the rest of the event will take place outside on Market Street).
ASC Drama Club’s 30-minute performance of Julius Caesar will kick off the festivities at 10 AM, followed by a plethora of family-friendly activities including craft stations, classic birthday traditions (including a birthday song and cupcakes on the hour), and a bouncy castle equipped for “battle”.
Activities will include:
- DIY costume station (ruff-making, crown decoration, and other disguises)
- Build-your-own paper bag bear
- Shakespeare Mad Libs
NOTE: This event will happen rain or shine! If weather requires, we will move all activities inside the Playhouse.
KID’S DAY TICKET DEAL: In honor of Shakespeare’s big day, ASC is making April 20 “Kid’s Day” at the Blackfriars Playhouse with a special discount!
