"...300 people exited As You Like It with gleeful appreciation of Shakespeare's comedies and the ASC's unparalleled abilities. Thanks to the good buzz spread by As You Like It, 350 people attended the less well-known Measure for Measure, and many in the audience spoke of their deep appreciation for the ASC's ability to bring such an ethically complex play to life in such an understandable and enjoyable way. By the time we reached the final performance of the festival (the evening Macbeth show), nearly 500 people were eager to see if all the good things they had heard about the ASC performances were true. The response was unequivocally positive....the troupe was open, accommodating, consistently professional, exhaustively prepared, and dazzlingly talented, which is why we ask the ASC company to return year after year."
