This January, the ASC will join other educators from around the world at the UC Davis School of Education, in Davis, California, for a weekend of workshops designed to transform methods of teaching Shakespeare. We'll be presenting some of the performance-based learning techniques from our Teacher Seminars, Study Guides, and Little Academes, methods that we use to reinvigorate students' excitement about Shakespeare and the world of early modern theatre.
Teaching Artists from some of the world’s most respected Shakespeare Theatres share active and playful approaches that will enliven your teaching of Shakespeare.
This conference of hands-on workshops at the Mondavi Center UC Davis, will also transform your teaching across the curriculum to support the VAPA standards.
The weekend is presented by the UC Davis School of Education and the Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts at UC Davis in association with Globe Education (Shakespeare’s Globe, London) and the Shakespeare Theatre Association.
Check back here in the fall for more details, including a list of workshops and other details about the conference.
