Blackfriars Conference

The American Shakespeare Center's Blackfriars Conference, inaugurated in 2001 to celebrate the opening of the Blackfriars Playhouse, is a five-day conference event on Early Modern Drama, attracts an international audience of scholars and is held in October every other year.  The 7th Blackfriars Conference will be held October 23-27, 2013.

Mary Baldwin College, in partnership with American Shakespeare Center, has combined the academic and applied aspects of Shakespearean theatrical studies to offer a unique Master of Letters/Master of Fine Arts in Shakespeare and Renaissance Literature in Performance.
