In case you missed my review, I will reiterate that this was a wonderful, creative, and scholastically responsible historical mystery novel, and I highly recommend it for Shakespeare enthusiasts — particularly of the breed that I know frequents the Blackfriars Playhouse. The play I would most like to see in the 25th anniversary season is _Timon of Athens_, for the simple reason that it is one of two Shakespeare plays that I have never seen on stage.
I think I’m most looking forward to Troilus and Cressida. It’s not much performed, and I have seen it only once in a devastatingly cynical production by the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington back at the beginning of the first Gulf War (or Pleistocene, I forget which). I am looking forward to seeing how different the ASC’s take might be.
Speaking of different takes, it’s always fun to see Shakespeare’s take on Chaucer. You have two of the four greatest literary geniuses in English lit combined here, so how can I not be eager to see it? If Dickens wrote a novel that combined Chaucer, Shakespeare, and Milton, maybe that would be better, but two out of four ain’t bad.
“Return to the Forbidden Planet” for sure. The Tempest with Monsters from the Id…and music!!! Who could resist?
I would like to see Return to Forbidden Planet because it sounds like fun.

Return to the Forbidden Planet definitely. Captain Kirk meet The Bard is a dream come true!
I am most looking forward to All’s Well that Ends Well, for a few reasons. First, I’ve never seen a production. Second, the plays that defy genre fascinate me. It seems to me that any of WS’s late serio-comedy/melodrama fairy tale plays can only truly be appreciated through performance. I’m interested to see the balancing act between melodrama and rom-com in action.
Return to the Forbidden Planet is my birthday wish this year. I love MGM film and can’t wait to see the fun to be had re-mashing The Tempest in a new way!
The Maid’s Tragedy, because I’ve never seen it performed before.

While I am excited to see all shows at ASC, T&C tops my list. I have only seen one performance of this play via YouTube and that never does any of the plays justice.
