Jessica Andrews

Residence & Directing Assistant

As You Like It, Session 1

Favorite Shakespeare Play:

The Tempest, and sometimes Othello

Shakespeare Character that best describes me:

Viola

Favorite Shakespeare quote:

“Cowards die many times before their deaths; The valiant never taste of death but once.”

Favorite Play that isn’t by Shakespeare:

Talley’s Folly by Lanford Wilson

All-time favorite ASC Moment:

Who can pick? The very first time I ever saw an ASC show, (touring troupe, Midsummer, years and years ago) one of the actors stole my brother’s baseball cap during the show. He returned it at the end, and my brother had him autograph the hat–it was a special moment because my brother felt so seen. Also during a touring show of Taming they handed out pool noodles to beat the actors with, and as a kid, it was like they had taken out a megaphone and announced, “There are no limits to the amount of fun you can have with art.”
