Favorite Shakespeare Play:
Comedy: Measure for Measure (even if I don’t find it all that funny)
History: Henry IV PT. 1
Tragedy: Macbeth or Titus
Non Folio: Pericles obviously
Shakespeare Character that best describes me:
Hermia and Lady Macbeth’s love child
Favorite Shakespeare quote:
“Let be.” From Q2 Hamlet
Favorite Play that isn’t by Shakespeare:
Either Angels in America by Tony Kushner or Love and Information by Caryl Churchill
Hogwarts House:
Gryffindor
Favorite asc moment:
John Harrell casually altering the course of my future career by giving the “hath not a Jew eyes speech.” Or ya know, anything Shunté does… and Adrienne and the whole education department. There’s a lot to love. Hey you too Lia and Aubrey!!
favorite asctc moment:
I had never done theater, and I had definitely never been to theater camp my first year of ASCTC, so I just remember sitting in the audition waiting and thinking that I had achieved the ultimate fear of God, but I also remember in my blind panic the sheer amount of love and support and utter positivity that my future friends and ensemble members offered me.
Biography:
Maddie Miller (she/her/hers pronouns) is a North Carolina native, and a sophomore BFA Theater Performance major at Emerson College. In her free time she can be found COQ (crying over quarto’s [thank the stars for Pericles]), taking power naps before planning her world domination, and finally: writing monologues, poetry, and other small essays. She is more than ecstatic to be returning to her home at ASCTC for her first year as a production intern, and can’t wait to get to work!
