Seating is general admission on a first-come/first-serve basis. Our box office staff and ushers will direct you to the blanket or chair seating sections, depending on your ticket purchase.  While we will try and seat parties who are together in adjoining spaces (example: a party of four in two chair spaces), we cannot guarantee we will be able to do so. We also cannot guarantee specific rows or sections.  Please come early if your party desires adjoining spaces or a particular area.

While we love dogs, we haven’t yet found that they love Shakespeare that much. They are most welcome at the Blackburn Inn and Conference Center, but we are not able to have them in our seating area. Does not apply to service animals

What if it rains?

ASC at Blackburn performs in an outdoor space on the grounds of the historic Blackburn Inn and Conference Center. Please come to Blackburn prepared for an open-air theater experience. There is no covering for the audience or actors.

We will do our best to make an informed decision if inclement weather looks possible on the day of the show and will contact you via phone or email with any updates to your performance.

Performances will continue during inclement weather, possibly after short delays. Umbrellas are not allowed during the performance, but rain ponchos or jackets are encouraged.

If a performance is cancelled due to rain before intermission, a rain check will be issued for a future performance of the same play, valid through November 2020.

What about Safety Precautions?

  • Universal Masking: Based on our work with Augusta Health we are asking all patrons, staff, and volunteers to wear masks at all times when not eating/drinking. All food or drink will need to be finished by the start of the pre-show music.  This helps keep our acting company safe!
  • On the blanket spaces we are implementing a 4 foot spacer aisle between seats vertically through the spaces and a two foot spacer aisle horizontally through the spaces. While this gives a barrier around each 8×8 foot space, we are asking parties to be mindful of those around you and stay towards the center of your space. Please also note that people may be eating and drinking unmasked in their spaces during the pre-show period.
  • We will be using ticket scanners and digital tickets to avoid passing paper tickets back and forth. Please print your ticket at home or bring your mobile device (with our ticket email attachment loaded) to be scanned.
  • We will be marking and maintaining socially distanced lines for ticket scanning and concessions.
  • There will be interactive digital programs in place of paper programs.
  • We are working with Blackburn on comprehensive cleaning and social distancing procedures.
