BIOGRAPHY:

Kara is an actor, improvisor, and educator living in the Shenandoah Valley, after living most of their life in New York City and Connecticut. She received her BA in Acting from Pace University and her MLitt and MFA from Mary Baldwin University.

Her Master of Letters thesis combined text analysis, performance reviews, and queer studies in ‘Bisexual Possi-Bi-Litites: A Bi Reading of As You Like It and Twelfth Night.’ Their MFA thesis, ‘Role for Performance: Embodying Distinct Characters Based on the Dungeons & Dragons Moral Alignment Chart’ focused on showing character differentiation using physical, vocal, and floor pattern movement choices.

Some of her favorite performance credits include: Phillida in Galatea, Joan GoTo’T in The Birth of Merlin, and Richard III in Richard III.
