In A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Shakespeare casts a theatrical spell powerful enough to make audiences of all ages believe in anything. This mischievous comedy of lovers, heroes, fairies, and rude mechanicals is his tribute to humankind’s power of imagination, and reveals that the “course of true love” can alter with just one touch of magic. Getting to the playhouse

Below is a map of the street closures and accessible routes for QCMM 2019.

 

The area directly in front of the Blackfriars Playhouse (10 S. Market Street) will be open for pedestrian traffic.

Traffic patterns will be altered. Please allow extra time to for transportation and parking. The garage below the Stonewall Jackson will be open for parking and through-traffic to Market Street.

Disabled patrons may park in the handicap spaces in the bottom of the garage and take the elevator through the hotel lobby. Alternatively, patrons may be dropped off on Market Street between the Stonewall Jackson Hotel and the Blackfriars Playhouse.

Please contact our box office if you need additional assistance in attending a performance at ASC this weekend.

All downtown public parking facilities, except for the Wharf parking lot, will be open to the public for QCMM.

In 1999, a handful of forgotten suitcases were discovered in the recently closed Willard Psychiatric Center in upstate New York, untouched since their owners checked in many years before. Inspired by a book of photos taken by Jon Crispin, The Willard Suitcases is a world-premiere musical that imagines the lives that packed these bags, some funny, some strange, some tragic, and all very, very human. Ethan McSweeny directs this world premiere featuring the Olivier, Drama Desk, and Helen Hayes award-nominated Nancy Anderson (West End’s Kiss Me Kate, Broadway’s Sunset Boulevard).
