SHXCLASS: FAN FICTION PLAYWRITING!
Take your best fan-fic ideas from “head canon” all the way to the Blackfriars stage, and become one of “Shakespeare’s New Contemporaries” along the way in this engaging playwriting class! Learn how to write for Shakespeare’s staging conditions as you craft a 10-minute short play to be read at the end of the session on our stage!

Learn how to think like one of Shakespeare’s actors in this 10-week staging laboratory. Using iconic scenes and characters from the plays in ASC’s current season and our Programming team’s celebrated workshop curriculum, students will get the chance to explore the “infinite variety” of staging opportunities in the text in this active and exciting class.
