Christopher Marino

As an actor and director, Christopher has a career that spans 25 years working regionally and at Shakespeare festivals. He is also a founding member of the HelenHayes-award-winning Taffety Punk Theatre Company in Washington, DC. He is the former Artistic Director of the Baltimore Shakespeare Festival and the current Producing Artistic Director of Alchemical Theatre of Wilmington.

Currently on faculty at the University of North Carolina — Wilmington, Christopher has taught at numerous universities and theatres in the US and England, including the Utah Shakespeare Festival, the Baltimore Shakespeare Festival, Stella Adler in New York, George Washington University, University of Maryland Baltimore County, and Illinois State University. He has been a guest lecturer at Rose Bruford Drama School in the UK teaching classical acting technique for the past ten years. He holds two graduate degrees: The Academy for Classical Acting at George Washington University in conjunction with The Shakespeare Theatre Company and one from Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art — London. He has a Bachelor’s in Drama/Dance from Bard College.
