Rehearsal Room: Deming
What we did: Costumes have been officially added in, we ran and polished Act 2 scene 2, ran it all the way through once it was shiny and clean. Then we moved on to Act 3 scene 1, for more polishing, and then Act 3 scene 3 to review all the blocking and comedic work we had been applying to the text. Time for lunch and a dramaturgical lecture.
QUICK AND QUOTABLE
FROM THE PLAY
“My love and I may meet, in spite of all spies.”
FROM THE DIRECTOR
“Ah yes a fine day to be in the smelling place, horses.”
Stephanie Ann teaches a class on Early Modern scents, they do really paint the whole picture.
“In case people don’t get it could you… gesture… to the womb.”
Sometimes I can’t even contextualize.
FROM THE CAST:
“Don’t get blood on my coach you know how much dry cleaning costs these days.”
We’re glad that the cast is learning the importance of money management when it comes to coach cleaning.
