BY ADAM LONG, DANIEL SINGER, AND JESS WINFIELD WITH NEW REVISIONS BY DANIEL SINGER AND JESS WINFIELD

This internationally acclaimed (and hilarious) [and beloved] distillation of all 38 of Shakespeare’s plays is returning to the Blackfriars Playhouse!

In a rush to glory, three madcap players weave their wicked way through all of Shakespeare’s comedies, histories, and tragedies in one wild ride that will leave audiences breathless and helpless with laughter. After a successful run in 2023, this irreverent, fast-paced romp through Shakespeare’s canon is returning this year for another limited engagement, this time with an all-new cast of ASC veteran actors.

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] (again) is a new 2022 version of the original The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) that played a record-breaking nine-year run in London, and has since been performed around the world, winning rave reviews like these:

“Stupendous…joy!” – The London Times

“Shamelessly heretical!” – Time Out (London)

“Pithier than Python. Irresistible.” – The New York Times

“If you like Shakespeare, you’ll like this show. If you hate Shakespeare, you’ll love this show!” – The Today Show

Originally produced by Reduced Shakespeare Company

This show was ensemble-directed as an ASC Artists’ Renaissance production.
