Today’s Date: July 30, 2019
Show Title: The Roaring Girl
Director: Stephanie Ann Foster
Assistant Directors: Cortland Nesley and Molly Harper
Stage Manager: Joe Marsh
Dramaturg: Madison Miller
Rehearsal Room: Hunt West
What we did: Today we started with a full run once again. It was also our last line call date (as tomorrow is our midnight dress rehearsal with the other two shows!). We then did our notes section to clean the run for even speedier and funnier runs in the future. Our current run time is officially 1 hour, WOHOOOO!!!! We then worked Act 3 scene 2, and went from cleaning that scene directly into s speed run. Speed runs are done without props or costume in order to clean entrances and exits, as well as work through lines while speedily walking the blocking.
QUICK AND QUOTABLE

Production Insight: We’re getting close! The thing about approaching show day is that everything needs to be looked at so much more intensely. Every moment needs to be clean, precise, and thoughtful. But more than just taking care of this collective piece of art that this cast is creating, is that the cast is also taking care of each other and themselves. One of the best things to watch in this process has been the little moments of empathy and warmth that this cast has offered each other. In high stress situations (*cough* standing up in front of lots and lots of people and saying lines) it is often easy to lose sight of self care. But this group of people has done an amazing job of reminding each other little ways to take care of each other through friendship and generosity.
