The Winter’s Tale

Before dinner, the cast lists were revealed. The excited campers hurried off to dinner and then the playhouse.

With the stress of auditions and casting behind us, this evening the cast of The Winter’s Tale read through the play together for the first time. The campers again got to work on the Blackfriars stage.

The Winter’s Tale is a bit of a strange play. Without giving too much away, the tone of the play shifts dramatically throughout. A little bewildered, the campers turned to our director, KP Powell, for a colorful synopsis of the play. The cast enjoyed his summary greatly (as did the interns and RDAs). Everyone laughed. The cast left the read through excited to commence rehearsals and evolve their understandings of the text.
