what we did

Today, we got to rehearse in the Blackfriars Playhouse! The first job of the day was “trap training” – meaning teaching the whole cast and crew how to use the trapdoor. Here are some pictures from trap training (ft. Natasia in her yellow mushroom hat).

Next, we had music rehearsal with Joan, with a special focus on harmonies. Finally, we continued on with blocking. We are almost done blocking the show, and creating several fun comedy moments in Act V!

I am so glad to be back in Blackfriars! Getting to rehearse there, particularly when working on transitional moments, allows me to glimpse what the show will be when we reach the end of this process. I also thoroughly enjoyed getting to learn some of the secrets of the playhouse, like the trapdoor. The campers remain willing to work hard and take risks, while still having fun!
