Your Visit During Renovations
The Blackfriars Playhouse will temporarily close for renovations from December 30, 2024, to January 22, 2025. Here’s what you need to know:
- Tickets Are Always Available: You can still purchase tickets 24/7 at AmericanShakespeareCenter.com.
- No Shows During the Renovations: Our next performances begin in February with the Spring 2025 Season—so your current ticket reservations and memberships are unaffected.
- Contacting the Box Office: Phones will be unavailable during this time, but we’re just an email away! Reach out to tickets@americanshakespearecenter.com, and we’ll respond as soon as possible.

Will tours of the playhouse still be available?
Playhouse Tours will be paused during renovations, but we can’t wait to welcome you back to explore the refreshed space when it reopens.
What happens to memberships or current tickets?
There’s no impact! Since no shows are scheduled during the renovation period, your memberships and existing ticket reservations remain secure.
