ASCTC Camp Life: Festival Info and Driving Instructions

Alternative Title: It’s almost show time!

 

Well folks, it’s almost the big day! The campers have been hard at work; today they had music rehearsal in prep for music previews tomorrow. We are in the final rehearsal days for Henry the VI, Parts 1 & 2, and the campers are extremely excited to show off the hard work they have accomplished. To prepare for this exciting day here is some really important information that should be helpful.

Schedule of Events:
Doors open at 10am

Welcome to the Playhouse and All-Camp Song at 10:30am

Henry VI, Part 1 at 10:40am

Intermission at 12pm

Henry VI, Part 2 at 12:15pm

Group Photo around 1:30pm

“Lunch in the Life” Banquet at Hunt Dining Hall from 2-3pm. All family and friends are welcome to join.

DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE BLACKFRIARS TO SKY PARKING LOT BEHIND HUNT:
Head south on S Market St toward Kalorama St
Turn right onto Kalorama St
Slight right onto E Johnson St
Turn right at the 2nd cross street onto S Augusta St
Turn right onto Academy St
SKY 1 and 2 will be at the top of the hill on the right, immediately AFTER the turnoff onto Market St.
The Sky parking lots are behind Hunt; head down the stairs or ramp and an ASCTC staff member will be posted at the back door to let you in!
Here is the Campus Map, Hunt Dining Hall is labeled 13, and Sky 1 is labeled P12.
WALKING INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE BLACKFRIARS PLAYHOUSE TO HUNT DINING HALL:
Turn left out of the Blackfriars Playhouse.
Walk two blocks on Market St, past Beverley and Frederick Street.
Market St ends at the Mary Baldwin campus. Keep going straight up the staircase between the library and the academic building; Hunt is at the top of the hill.

After lunch campers will return to the dorms to start packing and for one final Shakespearean activity (sonnet night)!
