Nerds gathered around Austen during their ten-minute break to learn more about Shakespeare

What we did……………………………………………………………………………..

Rehearsal began this morning for a fun warm-up game led by one of our campers, Wren! After this quick warm-up Austen jumped right into more detailed work beginning with Act 2 Scene 1. We worked all the way through Act 3 Scene 7. Austen closed out rehearsal with a circle of reinforcement and a clap out.

Production Insights…………………………………………………………………

With just about ten days until performance, excitement and passion are high. This is the most joyful and nerdy rehearsal room I have ever been in. These campers gather around Austen during their BREAKS to learn more about the show and the characters. Austen truly has a knack for getting each actor out of their shells and creating enthusiasm about Shakespeare. It has been such a joy to be a part of this process and each day we get closer to performance I get a little sad, as I don’t want it to end.
