What we did
It’s a week until the final performance! After two days without rehearsal and some character swappage, we eased back into the swing of things with a run-through of what we’ve blocked thus far (pretty much the entire show, save for the final scene) in a new rehearsal space (the very top floor of the Grafton library).
Quick and Quotable:
- from the play
- “I am myself alone.” – Richard, Duke of Gloucester, 5.6.1167
- from the production team
- “You’ve yee’d your last haw, my liege” – me
- from the cast
- “Brother, SHUT UP!” – Van as Richard
- “Oops, I forgot to bark.” “You’re FINE!” – Edward and Richard, probably
Production Insights
The last couple of days have been chaotic, to say the least. The fact that the cast jumped back in so seamlessly and enthusiastically, as if we hadn’t missed any time at all, goes to show what a motivated group of actors these campers are. They continue to make new discoveries even with a week left of rehearsals and I’m so excited to see what they put on the Blackfriars stage a week from today!
