A Night of HILARIOUS HORRORS at the Blackfriars Playhouse

Spend Halloween night with the American Shakespeare Center for a show so funny, it’s scary! Enter the Blackfriars Playhouse—if you dare—for a special showing of Gordon Greenberg and Steve Rosen’s Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors, a laugh-out-loud retelling of Bram Stoker’s iconic vampire classic. Perfect for audiences of all blood types, join Count Dracula on Thursday, October 31 at 7:30 PM for a spooky night out to celebrate All Hallows’ Eve in style. Even better, tickets are discounted to a frighteningly low rate for this performance only!

EVENT DETAILS:

  • A bloody good ticket discount has been pre-applied to all seating tiers. (Regular local rush will not be available this night, due to the pre-existing discount. Blackfriars Circle Members can still apply their discount.)
  • Enjoy sickeningly special sips at the lobby bar. (Alcoholic beverages available for ages 21+ only, ID required)
  • Sink your teeth into a shareable Bard & Bites charcuterie box. Pre-order is required. Usually only available on select Sundays, we’ve made this delicious snack box from North Ridge Café available on Halloween as well.
  • Interested in dressing up? “Count” us in! Halloween costumes are welcome and encouraged. Please note, our “no shirt, no shoes, no service” dress code policy does still apply. Additionally, please avoid wearing large hats, tall headpieces, or full-face masks to prevent distraction and blocked sight lines while everyone is enjoying the show.

Feel free to contact our Box Office if you are unsure if your costume will be appropriate or if you have other questions about the event.

Age requirement: 7 and up (due to PG-13 content, this particular title is recommended for high school ages and up – read full policies here)
