Located in historic Staunton, Virginia, the American Shakespeare Center invites homeschooling families to immerse themselves in the world of Shakespeare during our Homeschool Day performances.

At the Blackfriars Playhouse, the world’s first recreation of Shakespeare’s indoor theatre, families can experience unforgettable matinee performancesengaging workshops, and post-show talkbacks that bring these classic stories to life.

Fall into the rush of first love with Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare’s iconic story of passion, defiance, and connection that can’t be stopped. When two young hearts find each other in a world built on hate, they risk everything to hold on to what feels true.
