Share the gift of Shakespeare with your loved ones by giving them an American Shakespeare Center e-gift card! Newly available to purchase online, you can email a gift card to the recipient of your choice. If you’d prefer to print out the card to give in person, simply put your email address into both the ‘Recipient’ and ‘Sender’ email fields. This doesn’t affect the recipient’s ability to redeem the gift card.

DON’T FORGET:

  • Make sure to double check the spelling of the recipient email address! If the email is spelled incorrectly, it will not go through properly. If there was an error, please reach out to the ASC Box Office at tickets@americanshakespearecenter.com to have it re-sent to the correct email. Please note it may take up to 4-5 business days to correct the issue, so double-checking spelling is a much faster method.
  • Order confirmation will be sent to the sender from orders@localgiftcards.com. The e-gift card itself will be sent to the recipient from gc-orders@localgiftcards.com. Unless you are sending the gift card to yourself, you will NOT receive a copy of the gift card or the actual gift card number as that will only go to the recipient.
  • If the recipient does not receive the gift card, double check spam and junk folders. If they don’t receive it, double check the recipient email on your order confirmation to make sure it is correct.

You can customize the date your gift card arrives in your recipient’s inbox. At the bottom of the ordering screen, select your desired delivery day, time, and the time zone of your recipient.

Gift cards can be redeemed for all public ticketable events including shows, education programs, and engagement events either online or through our Box Office.

Unfortunately, no. Gift cards may only be redeemed for ticket purchases. The only exception is when an event includes food or drink in the admission price, such as our Shakespeare Uncorked or Bard & Bites series.

We are unable to trace gift card numbers for purchases made before November 13th, 2023. However, for gift card purchases made on or after November 13th, 2023, we may be able to assist you in tracking down your gift card number. Please contact our Box Office for assistance.

Yes! If you are unable to attend an event you have already purchased, please contact our Box Office, and we will be happy to transfer the amount to either an existing or new gift card number for you to use for a future event.

Yes, your gift card will expire 5 years from the date of purchase.
