Julianne Wick Davis (composer/lyricist) Received the 2012 Jonathan Larson Award for SOUTHERN COMFORT (music) with Dan Collins (book & lyrics) The Public Theatre, 2016 (NY Times Critic’s Pick, Lortel and Outer Critics Circle Nomination for Outstanding Musical); Barrington Stage Company 2013; NAMT 2012 Festival of New Musicals; developmental reading at Playwrights Horizons 2010; developmental production at CAP21 in 2011 (GLAAD Media Award and TimeOut NYC and NY Times Critic’s Pick). Julianne also wrote the music for TREVOR, world premiere production at Writer’s Theater Chicago in 2017 (Jeff Award for Best New Musical), as well as the music for THE PEN for Inner Voices 2016 (Dan Collins, book & lyrics), (NY Times Critic’s Pick). She also wrote music for LAUTREC AT THE ST. JAMES (John Dietrich, book & lyrics), WHEN WE MET (music & lyrics) with Dan Collins (book), 2012 O’Neill Musical Theatre Conference, York NEO Development Series 2013, developmental production at CAP21 2014 and was a featured musical in Broadway Up Close at the Merkin. “At the Met” (music & lyrics) for Lonny Price’s Lincoln Center Originals and Shakina Nayfack’s MANIFEST PUSSY (music & lyrics). Julianne is the 2018 recipient of the Billie Burke Ziegfeld Emerging Female Musical Theatre Composer Award, a 2011 Dramatist Guild Fellow, a York Theatre’s NEO 9 emerging writer, and a 2015 Sundance Fellow at UCross. She holds an MFA from NYU’s Tisch Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program.
