The organization was founded in memory of Alison Parker, who was killed on air last year.

The American Shakespeare Center’s student matinees bring Shakespeare to over 10,000 students from over 150 school groups every year. This month, the ASC was thrilled to host two special groups to matinee performances of Twelfth Night sponsored by the For Alison Foundation.

For Alison is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that supports visual and performing arts to enrich the lives of the children of southern Virginia. For Alison exists to create opportunities for children in Southern Virginia to experience the arts. It can be found online at www.foralison.org.
