Today’s Date: July 31, 2019
Show Title: The Roaring Girl
Director: Stephanie Ann Foster
Assistant Directors: Cortland Nesley and Molly Harper
Stage Manager: Joe Marsh
Dramaturg: Madison Miller
Rehearsal Room: Hunt West
What we did: Today began with another full run (58 minutes oh HECK YES), then we took a 5 to reset costumes and props for notes and scene cleaning. We then worked on notes, which have become small but thorough. As we get closer to the show, the note giving process is to work moments, story, back story, diction and lines.
QUICK AND QUOTABLE
FROM THE PLAY:
“A goose will last you your life!”
-Moll
FROM THE DIRECTOR:
“I’m getting the pickle on a stick.”
-Stephanie Ann
FROM THE CAST:
“DEEPAH BANAWWWWNAAA”
-OMNES
Nothing cult-like about 11 campers chanting “deeper banana” (a blocking note) in cockney accents… in unison.
“No I’ve never tried to shank my sibling.”
-Ella Gardner
We’re working on keeping elbows out and intimidating stances. You’re safe for now, Schuyler.
Production Insight: As we are approaching show day, I will be attaching the blog post Lia wrote with all the show day information just to refresh you on details! We can’t wait for you to see what we’ve created together.
