What We Did Today
Today, we started out with an awesome toga-making tutorial from Alex! After that, we broke into groups and did some scene work, developing characters, and figuring out how filming is going to work! We’re ready to piece things together and it’s looking great so far.
Quick And Quotable
- From the Play: “…Shall in these confines with a monarch’s voice / Cry ‘Havoc!’ and let slip the dogs of war.”
- From the Director: “Shiii…itake mushrooms.”
- From the Cast: “Nice scarf, Isaac.”
Production Insights
Who is the Soothsayer? How much do they know? How do they learn their secrets? Today, I got to work with Sakura, who is playing our soothsayer. We decided that the soothsayer is an immortal spectator. Who knows how old she is, how much she’s seen, and how much of history she’s changed? She’s also a snarky tea connoisseur who likes to wear black and gossip. She and Casca get along well. The Soothsayer’s commentary is going to help the story stick together in this format, and it’s going to be so much fun!
