What we did

We started with a group check-in after a packed day of auditions, voice and acting coaching, and casting (see cast list below)! After that we dove right into our first read-through. We then spent some time discussing things the cast noticed during the read-through. Finally, we spent some time planning out the day tomorrow so we’re set up for success.

Production Insights 

We have a cast! It has been so rewarding watching the camp company bond and discover the text over the last week of camp. Watching them read through the play with their parts for the first time it is clear that this text belongs to them. They’ve spent the last week arguing over which lines to keep and which to cut and have defended their choices with vigor. I’ve been impressed with the amount of thoughtfulness they’ve put into considering the more difficult themes in the play and am so excited to see them start to put the show on its feet!
