A PREVIEW OF AMERICAN SHAKESPEARE CENTER’S 2023 SEASON

Just announced! American Shakespeare Center’s 2023 Artistic Year, its 35th season, marks the worldwide Folio400 Celebration, in honor of the 400th anniversary of the first printing of Shakespeare’s works, with a slate of plays immortalized by that momentous event. The season explores the unshakeable power of some of Shakespeare’s most memorable women and the men who dominated their lives and explores the myth of Orpheus through the eyes of award-winning playwright Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice. And Lauren Gunderson’s witty and moving The Book of Will pays homage to the friends who risked it all to get Shakespeare’s works published in 1623. Tickets will go on sale at a later date to be announced.
