What we did

When our company met this evening for the very first time, we began with some introductions and warm up games led by Ronee and Emily! The cast also each shared their favorite theatrical moments they’ve ever seen in a live production. After that we dove in and read our beast of a script, and after many name mispronunciations and group laughs at antics, we said goodbye to the playhouse for the evening.

• In general, hearing the cast talk about all of their favorite theatrical moments was so special. It felt like every person in the room had the opportunity to remember why they came to camp and why they love theatre!

Production Insights 

Beginning this process with our sixteen talented actors was so exciting. We have every level of experience in this cast, and already I could see actors forming bonds and helping each other succeed. What delighted me most was the laughter in the space today. From silly jokes to anecdotes to group moments of surprise, I can already feel a great energy in the room. With this being my first time at camp after camping myself a few years ago, I could not have asked for a better read-through.
