What we did

Rehearsal 1: today had a little bit of everything! A fight call with Kailey Potter, music work for every song, walkthroughs of the most complicated staging and sound cues, and then a run of the second half of the show. Everything we did today was in preparation for our full dress rehearsal run that will be happening after dinner!

Rehearsal 2: This run was crazy and amazing. The Caesar cast got to see our show for the first time, and it was so rewarding! We got out late (hence the timing of this post), but it was a very successful night.

Quick and Quotable

• “I have sent Cloten’s clot-pole down the stream” -A beautiful mix of word-play and imagery spoken by Guiderius
• “This is why we do it” sung by the staff to the tune of “This is how we do it”, when the cast had to go over entrances more than once
• (I’m sorry the quotes are lacking today- I wasn’t actually present at our first rehearsal!)

Production Insights 

Wow, wow, wow. Not only was that my reaction to tonight, but it was also everyone else’s. This process is sometimes exhausting and always challenging, but I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. Tech is always insane, but the cast were spectacular for their first showing! I am pleased to know we are 100% ready to perform for you all this weekend. Goodnight all!
