what we did

It’s the moment we’ve been building towards…the first full run of the show. Off book, with music, dance, combat, and transitions. It was so much fun to see the show come together. The campers have been working so hard and got the opportunity to show the play in full. While we are still perfecting the details, making sure everyone is fully off book, and finding new moments of comedy, we most certainly have a play. Everyone did a great job and I had the best time watching the run.

On that note, I was having so much fun watching the run that I completely forgot to take pictures. My bad. To make up for it, here’s a picture of some notes in my script. The cover image is Wren serving absolute FACE during clown yesterday, which I think still captures the energy of our rehearsal room.

production insights

In case you can’t tell based on my inability to take photos, I had a great time in rehearsal today! I was so engrossed in everyone’s performance. It’s also amazing how much different it makes to have scripts out of hands. I feel as though the cast discovered so many new beats and moments today just by not holding their scripts. The story felt so clear with the whole play put together. Next rehearsal, we are in the playhouse, and I can’t wait to see what the show looks like on stage.
