What we did
This morning we were in the playhouse so we did everything we could do to prepare for our Full Festival Dress Rehearsal tomorrow. We began rehearsal with a full and finished fight call, then moving on to an abbreviated game of Eastenders. We took an efficient five to be ready for our full run. After we finished a successful run we split up into two groups, one trying on costumes, and the other working on music with Joan.
Quick and Quotable
- From the Play
- “With comfort go. / Hope of revenge shall hide our inward woe.” – Troilus
This is the ending couplet for the show. Troilus says that the Trojans must yearn for revenge because of Hector’s death and the downfall of Troy.
- From the Cast
- “Do I exit?” “Yep.” – Isabel, Amy
Production Insights
We were able to do a complete run through with props, some sounds, and everyone was (almost) fully memorized. It’s great to be at that stage where it’s just cleaning up specific, small moments. Being able to go through the full intellectual and emotional journey today was beautiful and I’m so proud of all of these campers.
