SEE THE SHOW THEN LEARN HOW IT CAME TOGETHER
Join the Education Team as we take the practices of the rehearsal room and introduce them to students in our workshops. We’ll help them break Shakespeare’s text into pieces and then put them back together to discover character, narrative, and compelling moments. While they knit the pieces together, students will gain ownership of Shakespeare and know that Shakespeare is for now.
What is a Virtual SHXCademy?
Virtual SHXCademies bring an engaging Shakespeare learning experience to you. We combine real-time workshops taught by our ASC Master Educators and an on-demand stream of a BlkFrsTV performance. All SHXCademies culminate in live work with ASC Actors.
Title-Centered SHXCademies explore a specific Shakespeare title in detail.
Topic-Centered SHXCademies explore a theme using text from throughout Shakespeare’s Canon.
Through this innovative new class format, you can:
- Take a single course of your choice,
- Weave through a thematic thread,
- Spend a few weeks with your favorite play,
- Or master all of them!
