Kathleen Lake

Kathleen Lake joins the SSE after touring her one-woman show about writer Dorothy Parker up and down the East Coast. Kathleen received her BS in Theatre of the Deaf at Emerson College and her MFA in poetry from Sarah Lawrence College. She also attended Virginia Intermount College in Bristol, VA. Her poems have appeared in Ploughshares, The Sun, Kalliope, and other literary journals. Kathleen admits a certain fascination with Buttercup of The Powerpuff Girls, noting “she’s tough, she’s having a happy childhood, and she vanquishes evil everyday before bedtime.”
