Kathryn Lawson

Kathryn Lawson, who hails from Shenandoah Shakespeare’s birth city of Harrisonburg, Virginia, says she grew up on SSE performances. Somehow, she still turned out okay, earning her BA in Theatre from James Madison University, where she minored in graphic design. Favorite past roles include Gilda in Design for Loving, Regan in King Lear, Weird Sister #2 in Macbeth, and the Princess in The Near-Sighted Knight and the Far-Sighted Dragon. Kathryn, who concedes a passion for classical music, astutely observes that “Mozart makes you smarter.” Of course, she also says that she talks to cows.
