Summer 2020

ASC SafeSTART

As Governor Northam re-opens the state of Virginia and Staunton, American Shakespeare Center is beginning ASC SafeStart — the name we have given our comprehensive plans for actors, staff, and audiences to safely return, rehearse, and perform in Summer 2020.

Currently, performance dates (and, to some extent, locations) are in flux. We plan to gradually welcome you back to the Blackfriars Playhouse at the end of July. But, more than anything, we want to keep you safe and healthy.

Our Box Office and Marketing teams will be working hard to communicate all changes to the Summer 2020 season to current ticketholders and community members. Keep an eye on our website, social media, and email updates as things progress. We appreciate your patience as we carefully resume operations during the pandemic.
