What We Did Today

Hello my fellow Shakespeareans. After a restful weekend, the final week of camp began. Though anxious feelings of the finale to the SHXcamp experience were approaching, the cast of All’s Well that Ends Well was determined to finish the show portfolio before the end of the week. Today, the cast and crew recorded the final scene of the play, knocking out a lengthy scene and making substantial progress towards completing the show portfolio.

Quick and Quotable

From the Director: “Walk around in some grass for a bit.”

From the Cast/Crew: “This taco has surpassed expectations.” -Topher Zane

Production Insights

In a theater setting, the final week is often referred to as “Hell Week.” It is a time when stress and anxieties mount as everyone scrambles to make sure the final production is completed to perfection. Even in these times, everyone is becoming anxious as the final days begin to craw ever closer. I’m beginning to feel it too. However, I am certain that these feelings are just akin to irrational stress. The campers have worked so hard these past few weeks and are continuing with the same determination. I know this sounds repetitive, but all of these campers have a drive to work hard and that drive is the feeling of speeding to the finish line, coming home with something they can be proud of.
