Joyce Peifer
Now an Associate Artistic Director at the ASC, Joyce was also a founding member of its first troupes in 1988 and 1989. In the ASC’s 2003/04 Resident Troupe Season, she played Nell in The Knight of the Burning Pestle. She co-founded Vpstart Crow, a professional theater company in the Washington, DC area, and was its Artistic Director until 2000. For the ASC, she directed A Christmas Carol in 2004 and co-directed The Tempest in 2002 and The Taming of the Shrew in 1997. Other directing credits include Romeo and Juliet, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Twelfth Night, and The Comedy of Errors. She has worked in the post-production industry, directed and produced for television, and provided voice-over for radio and television. A certified actor/combatant for over a decade with the Society of American Fight Directors, Joyce is a graduate of James Madison University and a native of Woodbridge, VA.
