Biography:

Mary Rose Valentine (or Mars, if you prefer) was born, grew up, and now goes to college in State College, Pennsylvania. She is in the BA Theatre Studies program at the Penn State University School of Theatre, studying directing, devising, dramaturgy, and playwriting. In the 2019 – 2020 season of Penn State Centre Stage, Mary Rose has been a co-dramaturg on She Kills Monsters and Spamalot. She looks forward to serving as dramaturg in the Fall 2020 semester on Much Ado About Nothing. She is a Gryffindor, a classically trained ballet dancer, and a player of several instruments. Mary Rose attended Session 1 of ASCTC 2018 and ASCTC 2019 as a camper, and is excited beyond measure to be back at ASCTC 2020 as a Production Intern. She spends her rare periods of free time reading Shakespeare, baking, watching TV, playing video games, and procrastinating. Ask her about her pet cats and snake.
