Symmonie Preston
This is Symmonie’s seventh season as troupe understudy, having previously understudied more than 300 roles in 29 productions during
the 2013, 2014, and 2015 Summer and Fall Seasons, and the 2012, 2014, and 2015 Actors’ Renaissance Seasons. She has performed Shakespeare and his contemporaries with Grassroots Shakespeare, UK; Behemoth Theatre, UK; and Cromulent Shakespeare, Minneapolis, MN, as well as writing the acclaimed children’s play The Legend of Little Bad: Not Her Father’s Fairytale. Symmonie received her MFA in Staging Shakespeare from the University of Exeter and her BFA in Theatre Performance from Illinois Wesleyan University School of Theatre Arts. She was the first recipient of the Douglas Fairbanks Jr. Scholarship Award from the Society of American Fight Directors. She has served as an adjunct Professor in Theatre at James Madison University.
