Jeremy L. West

Jeremy has worked as an actor and fight choreographer/ fight captain for the ASC since 2004. He has acted in over 25 roles in 18 productions including: Pietro Jacomo in The Malcontent; York, Somerset, in Henry VI, Part 3; Malvolio in Twelfth Night; Grimaldi, Banditti in ‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore; Borachio, Friar Francis in Much Ado about Nothing.

In addition to fight work at the ASC, Jeremy’s fight choreography has been seen at such companies as: Virginia Stage Company; The Shakespeare Forum, NY; Virginia Shakespeare Company; Savannah Shakespeare Festival; among others.

Jeremy holds an MFA in Staging Shakespeare from the University of Exeter, UK. He has 17 years of stage combat training and experience and is certified with the Society of American Fight Directors and the British Academy of Dramatic Combat. He is the Chair of Fine Arts and the Theatre Director at Stuart Hall School and the Fencing Instructor at Mary Baldwin College, and he has a black belt in American Freestyle Karate.
